so, WHAT IS THE MISSION?

Transforming My Corporate Stress into Your Zen

The goal:

Make it cool to pause and take a breathing break at work, and normalise the permission to prioritise your health before your emails.

My story:

I am a certified yoga instructor and breath work coach specialising in Yoga Therapy. But I started my career in advertising, commuting between New Cross to Canon Street every day for at least 5 years. I remember it feeling like a sweltering and congested ordeal, nearly causing me to faint on some occasions! While my workdays at the office were predominantly filled with pleasant interactions and tasks, there was a recurring discomfort stemming from challenging meetings or conversations. These instances often left me feeling overwhelmed, triggering bouts of imposter syndrome that escalated into anxiety and panic. Looking back, I realise the significance of incorporating planned moments to reconnect with my breath and find solace in my own body—an essential practice that could have greatly alleviated the struggles I endured for an extended period.

Once I discovered yoga, it changed my life and my ability to cope. Every day, I come to my mat to check in with myself physically, mentally and emotionally. When I connect to my body and breath, yoga has the power to lessen the weight attached to my thoughts which is not something I have found anywhere else.

 

I teach yoga because I hope others can experience a similar pathway to greater mental clarity and self-esteem. The best part about yoga is that once you finish the class, you feel lighter, more ready and capable to get on productively with the rest of your day.
